What's with the thumbs down? This seems like a good deal without having done too much research, unless the selling prices on the dryers are grossly inflated.

I see the offer, and it's not like you're getting the freebie via worthless points doled out in weekly or monthly rations.

Probably best to change the title to:
" Free Kenmore 25132 washer with qualifying dryer purchase "

You know, like it reads in the actual ad.

Basically $400 each, which is an OK deal.

Washer and dryer are $499 on Amazon

Dryer is good, washer is garbage. Read the comments online and don't go for the washer.

Gonna copy one for those still considering this a good deal... EEK!

"Only sad that I have to even give it one star. I purchased this new set a year ago....and just barely went to check on a load. The cycle is nearly finished and when I opened the lid and - as usual-I can still see dry spots on some of the items. Ridiculous!! In trying to be 'highly efficient' ---the machine is supposed to sense how much water to use- which is never more than a couple of inches. Yes, I have had Sears' service people come check to see if my machine is defective- NOPE!! Apparently they are all this horrible- mine is nothing special. I wash most loads twice (ruining my clothes twice as fast- thanks Sears!) just to get them halfway clean/decent. The machine also seems to collect lint at the bottom of the machine- it doesn't drain out well and then redeposits on the clothes sitting on the bottom of the load. Which requires yet ANOTHER wash with them on top, hoping to get the lint off- which only works sometimes because, remember the top clothes sometimes don't even get enough water on them to get clean in the first place. A never-ending cycle of excruciating laundry-frustration!! This is without a doubt the worst purchase I have ever made. Save yourselves!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS MACHINE!!!!!"

With mention to the review posted above about washer not filling enough...

I do appliance repair. I've had a few times this year of that complaint. All I'll say is... Reading is fundamental. Under the lid, it tells you what settings to use depending on your load. I show the customer what it says and I even start the cycle for them. The world is then saved.
