Same here. I have a 32gb usb 2.0 I got for next to nothing a year ago and after 3 uses practically all of my files were corrupted. I've managed to recover most of them. But I did lose a few. This is the second PNY I've had that I almost lost everything. I had a microSD card that wouldnt read and eventually I found a computer that could extract all the files off. I wont try PNY again.

Just anecdotally, I've had 3 of these drives for a few years. Two 128gb and one 256gb. All have been solid. No issues, fast transfer speeds (~100MB/s sequential read/write). Not the fastest in the world but way faster than most of the cheaper drives you encounter. They do get hot under heavy use, but I personally have had a good experience with these drives.

I agree. Have 2 32gb and one 64gb. Had for 4 years. As long as u do device disconnect on computer they seem to work just fine over time. I reformatted them to exfat and fat32 to work on my tv USB port. Great buy.

The cap is a slide that keeps the USB connection contacts from getting knocked around too much while in a backpack or purse. Also doubles as a fidgeting device.

They must be SanDisk , not PNY
