How much better is this vs a Hitachi Hsb32b26 soundbar? I use it for our living room tv and wondering if this system will be a better option with the sub?

This is definitely a slick deal. I've been waiting on these to drop for a minute now. Thanks OP!

I have had this and the Klipsch bluetooth equivalent. Loved the sound on this, but slowly it started failing with first the aux port, then the whole controller. Didn't have more than 3 years. Got the Klipsch about a year ago and the sound is not near as good and Bluetooth doesn't have any sort of pairing security ( so my neighbor could technically connect and start blaring music in my house.) I think Logitech has performed Superior to every product I have compared them to, but failed after a few years (planned to make you buy new products?) This has been the case with mice, speakers, ipod docks, and now my UE Boom products.. disappointing..

The soundbar likely has better mids and highs. The 623 will definitely have better low end. If you have fairly tempered expectations, you would enjoy it. Now, that said, you won't have a remote. If your TV has aux out, and will control the volume output from the TV remote, then you'd be fine.

I would also strongly consider this Vizio SB362An-F6 [cnet.com] for a TV if you're in the market. Not sure what they're going for on the market currently, but I'd bet close to the same price. Highly praised for a sub $100 sound bar.

I had an alert for this, and now on the fence. I can see I bought my current one in October 2013, so I've had it for almost 5 years. But things have gone wrong recently from a screwy power button (Youtube fixes for it, and appears to have worked) to scatchy sounds on the volume knob (haven't been able to fix it) to power not working at all occasionally unless I give the sub the ol' TV slap (usually works). Otherwise I love this set for sound, form factor -- small, all black, not hideous looking, headphone jack is in a great place for me. I'll likely cave and get another, maybe the build quality has gotten better (wishful thinking).

Sadly it's usually the opposite for build quality the longer a product is in production.. first year of manufacturing is usually the best time to buy them.

Do you guys think I should pay $1.87 for the 4 year SquareTrade protection plan? Is it easy to get a warranty replacement etc?

any hopes of Newegg or other tax free sites matching this?

Lowest price it seems, without any codes/coupons.

good question, seems like a no brainer.

but then again, never bought squaretrade protection.

Also, Logitech has an extremely generous warranty. They will usually send you a new one, without sending anything in

I used these for about a year, they're a great deal for the full price. Even better at this price. Grab a 10 dollar bluetooth adapter and you can play music out of your phone, this is a great combo. I updated to the Z906 just because I found a good price on those, but I would highly recommend these.

Great speakers, well worth it. Bass is plenty enough to fill a 350sqft room

great set of speakers, the bass is really strong, i had to turn it down so that I don't piss off my neighbors (i live in a townhouse with shared walls and laminated floor, so bass travels). I paid $89 back in March, so this is a really great new price.
