Damn yes. This looks like in response to recent price drop by Lg (hopefully). Which means we may see sub 5K Black Friday timeframe

Too rich for me as I don't watch that much tv.

But the price is getting there. Under $4000 and I'm in.

Too bad OLED, as marvelous as it is, is subject to image retention (burnin). I was really looking forward to saving that $5 Smilie

This is the best price ever on a 77" OLED. You can get another $500 with CC PP claim against ZIB deals. $5389 is a crazy price drop considering that 2017 Black Friday sales had the 77" G7P OLED for $10,000. Love how fast the price on these are coming down.

That's the coupon I was looking for, just below the $5885 price point. Thanks SD!

Yep. And car engines are prone to overheating if you sit there in neutral with your foot on the gas.

Your loss. OLED is amazing, and I use my 65" C7 pretty much EXCLUSIVELY for gaming.

And guess how much burn-in I have? Yep. You guessed it. Zero.

Also, burn-in is NOT the same as image retention. Please do some research in future before posting. You'd have to REALLY try to burn in an OLED these days.

If various speculation about larger subpixels is correct, the 2018 panels will resist burn-in longer.

This is the best price ever on a 77" OLED, too bad I'm in Florida and the tax would make it 6175ish for me. Not sure if this is an authorized dealer, I do know you get served by authorized dealer when buying from Greentoe and they have accepted 5999 with no tax. Personally I think price will continue to drop and I will wait a bit longer.

Well I'm glad you don't have any burn in. However LG has had some explaining to do after a trade show incident, which is where I got my information when I researched before posting:

Further evidence of burn in on LG OLED televisions:

Please note that the articles below refers to 2018 models; you would think with all the years of experience they would have resolved this by now. Plasma televisions had pretty much eliminated or mitigated burn in before being discontinued a few years ago
