Wish Turkish airlines offered flights with longer layover (mine from Bos to Del is <6h both ways). Anything above 6 hours allows you to get out and do a free tour.

No one does not need visa as an Indian citizen to transit. However, if you want to roam around in Istanbul then you can get a visa on arrival at the airport. I have done it once.

You don't need visa if you don't step outside of airport . There is no visa requirement for travelers on transit layover. If there is, they usually issue visa for 24 hours in the airport

Do you know that you can look up answers in search engine . They are more reliable than Slickdeals user because things can change any moment.. you don't wait around for slick deal user to keep you updated.
