Dell 7275 2-in-1 tablet/laptop, refurbished from dell direct, ranges from $349 to $389 (most listings are $349). Note that this comes with the hinge style keyboard option, not the folio case style cover (with kickstand akin to surface) option. So it's one set angle, not a hinge like movement, however I do prefer that as compared to the kickstand which is harder to use on laps, YMMV (previous experience with a lenovo miix700).

Specs:
12.5 FHD 1920x1080 touch screen
win 10
2 thunderbolt 3/usb-c
intel core m5-6y57 1.10GHz/2.80Ghz, 4m cache
8gb ddr3l
256gb ssd
card reader
1.61 lbs

FWIW, here's the geekbench comparison with regular core i5-5200u
Multi-core: 5017 vs 4124
Single-core: 2474 vs 2466

In my opinion this would work great for light load work task in the form of 2-in-1, and a good surface alternative, especially with its thunderbolt 3 ports (i.e. egpu capability).

Side note: Standard 100 day warranty included, $1yr extended warranty for $49

Note that the ones for $349 seem to all be cosmetic rating "B" while the ones for $398 seem to all be "A" rated.

If I remember this model correctly, the battery life was horrible on these.

Can someone please tell me, if this is comparable to the Surface pro with i5 and 8gb ram as far as performance goes? Surface is on sale at costco for 790. TIA

Replacing RAM in this model seems to be very difficult. I don't see anywhere to do it w/o having to take the motherboard out.

Memory 8GB, Hard drive 256GB and refurbished model.... to me it's not a competitive price.

In your opinion, what have you seen that is a better value under the $400 price point for a 2 in 1 with 8gb, 256gb ssd, and 12" - 13" screen?
Looking for one for my daughter in highschool.
Thanks.

for what it's worth, it seems relatively common to get these same configs for a bit cheaper on ebay (though while you don't get any warranty on ebay, vs the 100days here, these are grade B, so unless the warranty is worth it to you, you can find it cheaper - especially on ebay coupon days)
