Those RL pillows are such garbage. Go flat in months.
After going through at least 20, I realized they're not such a great deal.
Costco pillows are about the same price, and much better.

A pillow is one of the few products for which a perfect one seems impossible. Even as a kid, I was pretty picky about my pillows and was sad when my favorite was so flat I had to throw it away.

I currently have multiple pillows in the closet that I have used for a couple weeks each before giving up on them (I usually end up giving them away if a guest who stays over likes them). Like you, I have purchased pillows from an assortment of stores, including Costco, Kohl's, Macy's, IKEA, and Target. My current pillow is a Nectar Memory Foam Pillow [nectarsleep.com], but it is not perfect and I'm waiting until I get a better pillow so I can move on.

Surprisingly, my favorite pillow of the last 10 years is a shredded bamboo memory foam pillow [amazon.com]. Unfortunately, that one has been out of stock; otherwise, I'd happily spend $30 for one. It is by no means a perfect pillow, but it's the best I've found, sadly. That one lasted 2.5 years, which is good enough for me. There is a multitude of shredded memory foam pillows on Amazon [amazon.com], but I don't know if they will feel the same. The same company, Original Bamboo, has other pillows in their store [amazon.com], so I may give them a shot when I've fully given up on the Nectar pillow and cannot find another.

Sorry, that was a lot of writing and almost no help. If you find your perfect pillow, please do let me know, and I'll do the same for you.

Thanks for the information.

I know your name is sleepyrx, but I'm surprised you went through so many of the same pillows if you didn't like them. Was there a reason for doing that?

Thanks,

'Logo pillows' have got to be one of the dumber things I've seen. Are people afraid their guests will peek inside the pillow case and see a no-name pillow? There is no reason to advertise it as a logo branded pillow, especially if they're not even high quality like sleepyrx says.

Not to crap on this deal, but this putting a logo on every product bullcrap is just out of hand. Really? A pillow?! Do they really think it will boost their brand and sell more RL product with free advertising from the inside of a pillow case?

Do you have any specific recommendations on a cheap but durable and decently comfortable pillow? I saw a lot of your previous deal analysis thread and would love to get input on pillows Smilie

I've tried target, this RL pillow, kohl's, Kmart and Walmart. All goes flat within 1-3months. Would like one that stays good for at least 1 year

Thanks! I guess I am in the small minority as I love these pillows. I always buy the Firm Density ones and they last me for about a year until another sale pops up. Smilie

I need new pillows and was considering Costco ones. I like & prefer down pillows as to cotton, and these "Down Alternative" ones in this deal didn't seem that great, but thanks to your comment I won't have to go through 20 of them like you did, lol

Please do your own research if you have time. Many of the shredded bamboo memory foam pillows are manufactured in China, with some of them simply rebranded and with paid reviewers. The one I mentioned, Original Bamboo, may be one of those; I'm pretty sure I got it for a super low price several years ago.

Look for ones with good reviews, check the reviews of the company and product with Fakespot.com, and read the reviews yourself.
