Just saw this flyby in my email.

This looks like one of the highest ratest and best priced robotic vacuums out there currently. So if your looking to try them out for the first time I dont think you can get anything better. On Monoprices website they are reviewed very highly by its users. Seems to have all the functionality of its more expensive counter parts from other brands. So unless I am missing something, this looks like a steal on a new robotic vacuum ? If I had more hardwood floors and less clutter in my house I would probably bite myself.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Currently is $127.09 with free shipping on Amazon (sold & shipped through Monoprice), so it may be cheaper to buy it there. For me it was $134.70 ($114.99 + $19.71 shipping) directly through Monoprice, so Amazon was cheaper in the end.

This does look nice for the price, don't forget about the shipping charge.

It would probably work well for hardwood only but this one doesn't have a roller on it to pick things up off carpet.

Still tempting at the price

What's the deal with tax? Amazon charges, but I'm not sure about Monoprice.

It had $0 tax for me since it is from a third-party seller. YMMV though.

That is an excellent price. I bought one of the more expensive Monoprice Strata Robotic Vacuums and had to send it back. I really wanted to like it, nice features on the surface and good power, however it would hang up and stop a LOT-- small rugs, stair edges, stools, etc. Being fair, this is not the same vacuum. Read the user reviews on Monoprice, most of them are good, however I did see one saying that it hung up a lot. Monoprice does have a good return policy, so it may be worth a shot. YMMV...

Not a single picture available of the bottom of the thing anywhere in the ad? Seems kinda fishy. I use 2 of the neato robotic models and have been happy with them...I got them as refurbs from amazon warehouse for pretty much the same cost as these. Those older models look almost exactly like this one.

Yeah, I was looking at that too. From the description, this DOES NOT have an agitator brush on the bottom for carpet. It only has the 2 spinning brushes on the sides. After reading a bunch of reviews, I went with the Eufy 11S (sister company of Anker - good customer service) for $60 more because it had the agitator brush on the bottom, very high suction ratings (1300 Pa), and excellent reviews all around.

A beater brush can be more of a hindrance if you have mixed floor types. I have a rug with about 3 inches of fringe and specifically bought an iLife v5s because it lacked a beater rush to get tangled up in it. The spinning side brushes still tangle periodically, though, less often if they've just been replaced. Of course now I have a dog and would probably benefit from this more now that I've just tucked the fringe under to keep the puppy from chewing it.

Everything I read from reviews makes this seem like a hardwood floor only type of robotic vacuum cleaner so I would probably pass if your main items are carpet.
