A heads up on these tv's...my 18 month old Samsung curved 55" tv turns off by itself about 10 times a day. I called a Samsung repair person and he said that one of the two boards inside needed replacing. $350 to have it fixed. I'm disappointed since I pd ~$1500 for it. There are many complaints about this. An extended warranty might be prudent.

Reduce the jitter and antiblur to around 4 and the soap opera effect will be gone.

Here's the rtings review:

I think some benefits of these over other TV sets is that these have very good colors. Other then that they're the premium 120hz refresh rate, quantum dot yada yada

Most are. But I'd rely on the comments if you are unsure, lots of ppl like to help out. Buydig is definitely a recommended site, I bought my sound bar from them and I love it.

There's quite a few. Mostly, the 2018 gets significantly brighter, only has one cord coming out of the tv.

I mean the 2018 gets brighter supposedly. I have this exact one in 65" and it's annoying when the sun is shining on it because it's hard to see the screen. Other than that the tv it's self 10/10 quality really slim the one connect box makes for a cable free setup. Great tv overall

The 2018 just came out. Currently $1599, though if you buy direct from Samsung you can trade in an old TV for $200.
Still $400 extra for the new model probably not worth it as long as you are comfortable with BuyDig

This is a problem with most TVs. I have an LG OLED that supposedly handles reflections really well (according to rtings) yet my ku6300 Samsung budget tv handled them far better.

Point is, most TVs benefit from a completely (or close to) dark environment.

We bought the 65" model for father's day and have been very happy with it. The colors are very bright & accurate. We are getting used to the soap opera effect but it was weird at first. It's like tagging along behind the camera guy on an episode of Cops.
