Found this by accident when looking for g-sync monitors the other day.
Shipped and old by Walmart.com and has a small store pickup discount.
Lowest price I've found on this particular monitor, even refurbished.
If the quality turns out to not be so great, just return it to your local Walmart without hassle.

Nice! I resisted buying a refurb'd one from ebay thru yesterday's 15% off deal and today's 10% ebay bucks back deal (which both ended being ~$500 after all said and done), but I'm gonna bite on this one.

Was about to order but review seems shaky. A lot of crap panels.

discover also has 5% cashback. lots of monitor deals lately (but mostly freesync). still remember the Walmart ymmv omen 27" gsync tn panel for $200. I see 27" gsync tn monitor for $280 on craigslist. Got me thinking if it is worth paying $150-220 for an IPS instead of a TN. The omen 27" tn color looks better than the TN i used in the past. IPS does look more saturated but not that much worse...

If you run dual monitors, IPS/TN panel side by side, it would drive you nuts.

I'm running the Dell 144hz TN with a Dell IPS 4k. For gaming its great. For everything else, I prefer the IPS.

I do have an ips and newer tn together (the 144 hz TN is straight away and bigger. I also use it for games but also for everyday work stuff. The IPS is angled, smaller, and I use it as a second monitor since i need more than 1 monitor). The dell IPS color is more saturated but the TN i have now is pretty good and not that much worse than ips. As mentioned, better than TN panels i had in the past. Do prefer an IPS, but just don't think it is worth $150-$220 more. Maybe because I don't have it exactly side by side and at the same size so it doesn't really bother me...

I have one of these that I ordered new from B&H Photo. They do have some Ips glow, usually at the bottom edge, but mine is excellent aside from that small drawback. You only see it when the screen is full black. I'd buy it again having played games at 165hz, I think some people are overly sensitive about this. I came to this after using a 5k retina iMac, so I'm not basing this on some prior low end TN or VA panel experience.

Just wanted to say that I picked up the monitor today and hooked it up next to my Freesync Acer 27" IPS monitor, no dead pixels and minimal to no IPS glow. Now that I have both a Freesync and G-Sync 144hz monitor, I got both my bases covered for my next GPU upgrade Stick Out Tongue

You are lucky. I decided to try my luck. Picked up the monitor. The box was kind of beat up. Hooked up the monitor. Looks new. Everything looked good (no dead pixel, no ips glow). I did notice a burning smell. After awhile, I noticed a burn on the edge of the screen and dead pixels. (look like someone burned the inside with a cigarette).

Inside the box, there are 2 sheets of paper. One is from acerrefurbished and the other seems to be a third party refurbishing company either contracted by acerrefurbished or walmart. It says it has 90 days limited warranty but I need to pay for my own shipping & shipping insurance. The box is huge so it would be expensive to ship. Thought about what I should do. Seems like I should return it. if they can't fix it, they might replace with a monitor of same price or greater. Which means I can end up with something inferior since it is $430. And even if they fix it, things might go wrong in 90 days (burned screen is kind of serious). One of my worst experience with a refurbished item.
