I don't know about you guys but I prefer the wide sole Roma/suede lines, they are extremely comfortable.

These look good but nowhere near comfortable because sole is just too narrow with not enough cushion.

But I that's the point of these, to be thin soled and flexible to be able to feel the clutch and pedals when shifting. My husband loves them for that reason, he says they are the perfect ZO6 shoes...

Very limited sizes though, he needs a size 12.

The cushion is thin for precision on the pedals while performing heel-toe.

The sole is thin for driving cars with narrow pedalboxes.

Drift Cats are about the best cheap driving shoe (Although something SFI rated isn't really more expensive. I paid like $50-60 for my Racequips), IMO, but definitely agree that they aren't a great daily shoe.

These make sense, you are right.
The other wide soles are more like skater shoes.
