Just noticed this deal on steam for the regular or XL of Just Cause 3. Looks like the lowest it has been (tied with the humble bundle deal a couple of weeks ago).

On sale until August 13th.

Additionally, you can buy Just Cause 1, 2 & 3 with expansions for $15.26.

It's amazing how incredibly vast this sandbox is. I was actually discouraged from continuing knowing I just didn't have the time to put into it...then the fact the PS4 version was a stuttering mess. Nonetheless, it had great mechanics and is most likely better on PC.

Just Cause 2 was a much better game in my opinion but JC3 at this price is worth it.

On PC the game seems to be RAM hungry. I was able to run it at 1080p at max settings on my i5, RX 480, 16GB RAM PC, but I've heard from people with 8GB RAM who had performance issues.

In any case, it's a great game and a lot of fun. And the XL edition is well with it just for the fun new toys you get.

I just finished the main story line in JC3. It's really fun to find creative ways to blow stuff up in this game! You can tether planes to buildings and watch them crash or tether cows to cars and watch them fly off the highway... the explosions are really well done and so satisfying. It's a fun sandbox to play in, for sure.

Most of the game is gradually taking over towns and military bases, and though repetitive it didn't really get any less fun. My advice is to go tackle the hardest base you can and try to unlock a helicopter with rockets. The grindy bits like taking oil platforms go pretty fast when you just hang out outside the enemy fire line and rocket the platforms with a bad-ass gunship!

I did not like that to unlock things as basic as aiming down the sites of a gun you have to complete various challenges. But, they aren't too bad and you really don't have to find and complete them at all if you don't want to. There is also no stealth at all so forget sneaking up on enemies. The menus could be better and the initial loading time for the game (on PC) is pretty long.

I think I paid $8 for JC3. Steam says I have 40 hours out of it and I still have the DLC to play.
