Buy a USB to SATA and google Clonezilla its a free cloning software that can be booted via CD or USB thumb drive. Easiest way to do it.

I'm not particularly computer literate. I just picked up a desktop that has a regular hard drive and it's slower than I was expecting for a brand new computer. Is it possible to install an SSD (120 gb) so it was boot faster but then still save files to the regular hard drive? Forgive my ignorance if this is a dumb question. I don't want to spend over a hundred dollars to get a large SSD and would really only be interested in it for making the computer faster in general.
