This tech will go away, but won't go down in price, unless you buy it SD style (cashbacks, gift card, coupons..etc).

Samsung is one of the few manufacturers, which still makes consumer grade MLC SSD drives.

QLC will never be as good as MLC drives in terms durability.

You can buy the OEM version of these (SM961) on ebay for $150. Usually they are OEM pulls with less than 10 hours of power-on time. Also have PM961 (960 Evo) and PM981 (970 Evo) for less.

I got a 256GB 960 Evo NVME for $50.

dumb dumb here, how and why is this worth so much more the 860 for $85 @ newegg. I assume its an improvement but is it really that much of an improvement?
