i was reading over on the st community forum that the only difference between the v2 and v3 hub is wireless, 512 vs. 128 memory on v3 (and BT but its not turned on yet).

On the forums this was posted, but there isnt a comparison tab on samsung site

reduced cost by:

removing battery backup
lower spec cpu/ram, therefore no local cameras
make it easier to setup:

add connecting over wifi
new devices that can scan QR code to pair

Its almost like the v3 is a v2 'lite'

you might think you paid too much for it.. But look at the spec comparison between v2 and v3. V3 is cheaper for a reason..

Has half the processing power and RAM went from 512 to 128 - will probably be more cloud dependant

The ability to connect WiFi has me thinking about upgrading. One less cord to plug into the back of my AirPort Extreme.
