It has a 4k read speed of 9 MB/s, pretty abysmal for a SSD. The 860 EVO SSD by comparison has 48 MB/s 4k.

Keep in mind the fastest disk-style drives such as Barracuda 1TB only have about tops 1 MB/s. So still 4x better than old style HDD, but 1/5 the speed of a 860 EVO and 1/10 the speed of a 970 PRO NVME.

EDIT: Ma math Embarrassment I meant, it is 9x faster than a fast HDD platter-style disk drive.

SUBSTANTIALLY worse performance wise. That said, still decent enough speed for almost anyone. I'm not sure what you're referring to with the M.2; this is a 2.5" SATA drive, not M.2.

Bought this for 147 plus 15 ratuken dollars in may. Have only used it for games. Been playing the crap out of fall out 4. Zero problems, game runs smooth as butter (not that the SSD is responsible for that but I imagine if it had problems it wouldn't). Anyways best price I've seen.
