Doesn't come with the base it seems. By the way, I would recommend sunbrella or olefin materials. polyester although outdoor wont last very long from my experience.

Or a bucket and a sack of concrete for $8. Wrap the pole with plastic, stick it in the bucket full of concrete. Pull it out when the concrete sets. Cut the bucket off if you like.

Shade is rectangular in shape and not 14ft diameter. It is 14ft long by 10ft wide.

It can be used with mosquito nets to effectively protect against mosquitoes outdoors.

Have to agree with sachint that it will probably fade very quickly (as-in after one season) - although it probably won't be as noticeable with beige as it would be with a darker color.

Also, you will need a very wide base (preferably without wheels) unless you plan to crank it down after every use. I mean, it's basically a hang glider with a 14' wingspan!!

Based on my experience, I would treat this umbrella as disposable.

I'm not sure a 66lbs base would hold this thing down?! Its quite large, one swift windgust could take it airborne

I've learned over the years to avoid tan if you have anything else overhead.

Hypothesis: Birds eat a diet of non-tan items.

One swift air broke 3 of my regular 9ft umbrellas so yea it will break, the thing is umbrellas are not supposed to be up in any windy conditions it even says it on the umbrellas themselves. I have a restaurant so I have to keep them up and sometimes I don't get to monitor them all the time.
