If you are looking for a compact router that can do it all, the RIDGID Trim Router is the one for the job. The kit also includes a 1/4 in. sheet sander. A conveniently located micro-adjust dial offers precise depth control for reliable routing. The flat, no-mar top makes bit changes easier. Soft start and variable speed features help you gradually start the motor and adjust the speed to match the material type. Overmold provides an excellent grip.

If u r buying a mini router for occasional use try the $30 one from harbor freight. It worked perfectly for my project and has plenty of oomph!

This description should read "1/4 sheet sander"

It's called such because it uses 1/4 (or a quarter) of a Sheet of sandpaper

Not "1/4" sheet sander" (quarter-inch sheet sander)

That would be incorrect.

The router alone is 99$ normally. This gives a sander free. I've been watching for a deal since I missed the last one with the wireless router deal for 149$.

Silly question, is a router basically like a mini portable vertical Mill?

This router is different than the standalone trim router for $100. Cheaper cord, not sure if they cut corners elsewhere as well. I own this one and have never had a problem with it, but there are differences to justify the package price.

Nop, you use this mostly to chamfer/bevel corners and make grooves in wood. Google for more

Yes. If you want one better get it as it tends to go out of stock quickly and stay out of stock for a while.

I have used this trim router for DIY weekend warrior type work for the past 4ish years and it has been great. I would definitely recommend it!

Yep, regular price for the router, except that this one comes with a free sander.

awhile back they had the cordless router, palm sander, and vacuum for $149. That's with one 2.0 Ah battery and charger. I almost jumped on it but saw its corded.
