It's honestly about the same, at least to someone that's not a huge audiophile.. I've got 2 505's and one of these in my living room and I'm very happy with all of them.

If I have a dayton audio 12in 150W already would this go ok with it or better to get a matching one?

Dayton is general correct with their product specifications. Polk will "E-Stat" for lack of a better term. Dayton has a lot of audiophile (of the audio science side, not the subjective side), so they do have to be more correct with their specs.

Dayton Audio being one of the big names in Audio, I'd go with them. Dayton doesn't much make joke baby home theater subs, but also real home theater subs as well.

Having used their Dayton Ultimax 15, ya they make some serious subwoofers. That's not even their best one and I have no doubt in ported configurations, it will beat out any sub $1.5k subwoofer (no surprise given the specs, and that big name boutique audio vendors actually use Dayton's Ultimax driver, customized for them.)

The PSW505 is the better of the two, but $120 for the PSW125 is a really good price for a 12" sub.

I picked this up in January on amazon for 99 plus CA tax, free shipping.

Solid for my use. It helps add rumble to movies. I don't use it with audio.

I just picked up the Polk PSW 108 for $125. Is it worth the return? 10in sub vs 12in sub?
