Ticket is only valid on Museum Day September 22, 2018. Some museums require a printed ticket, others will allow you to show your ticket via a smartphone or tablet. If a museum reaches capacity, the museum has the right to limit guests until space becomes available. Refer to the forum thread for offer discussion. -johnny_miller

The headache of being there with the monumental amount of people there is sure to be is not worth free. I'd rather pay for them and go on an off day.

I would put it differently. It includes museums you've never heard of, that are not on the BofA or other CC free programs, and might be interesting to check out. Thanks OP

Thanks for the heads up. Some of the coolest museums are free anyway. Especially Musée Mécanique in San Francisco!

Most meuseums are donations , most people see the fee, but most people don't look at the small print saying "RECOMMENED DONATION IS $XX.XX"

Best of luck, hope you live somewhere that offers good museums.

Half of the ones near me offered in this deal are already free everyday.

The generated ticket does not seem to have any unique number, bar code, or QR code

I am guessing you dont really need a ticket to visit the participating museums on that day?
