I gave up on BJ's. Costco is 1000x better, in general.

They do have some good products, especially for food, but overall I feel like Costco has better quality stuff.

Have Costco and Sam's, used to have BJ's, memberships.

Meat is better at Sam's, Sam's carries sliced mushrooms, and what used to be called Wings of Fire, by Tysons , grocery store sushi, bbq brisket, and a few other good products that Costco doesn't.

We buy rice and most of our fruit at Costco. Costco has some better pre made food, basically family portion, unfrozen, TV dinners and pastas that we will but. Tire service is better at Costco, but tire selection doesn't get as cheap, as most of not all tires Costco carry are at least 70,000 miles.

Bakery is split between the two, Costco has better croissants, Sam's better baguettes. More snack selection at Sam's, more luxury chocolate at Costco. More clothes selection at Costco.

Sam's has better tech for their stores, Scan and Go app is great, and self check out. Prefer shopping at Sam's, but Costco is really close to house. Really like having both, but spend more money at Costco.

Remember to disable auto-renew when you use this deal. They'll try to get you for another year full price.

You can do so by calling: 800-257-2582

Pretty easy to do.

They all closed in my area, but it seemed similar to BJ's.

Still well worth it, in my opinion.

Generally Costco provides the better values, but BJ's often targets locations without a nearby warehouse competitor. Costco also offers far more items in its stores.

I will say that I've grown to prefer the quality of BJ's nuts and produce over Costco. Frankly, even Sam's Club's food these days surpasses Costco's usual self-branded food.

I agree with some posters above. I have both Costco and BJs membership and I prefer shopping at BJs. Less crowds, Nicer employees and manufacturer coupons.

BJs is also more organised. They have their aisles marked. You don't have to go through every aisle like Costco to find what you need. Costco employees were also unhelpful when trying to locate a product.

I prefer BJ's because Costco is too crowded. Maybe the deals are technically not as good (possibly true), but for me it's a better shopping experience.
