Since 2015 Hisense has been licensed to make the Sharp branded TV's and Sharp has repeatedly complained that Hisense puts the Sharp name on inferior models with higher price tags hurting the Sharp brand. As this is a discontinued model Wally's is likely clearing out inventory as newer models start arriving next month.

- Not always, as depends on how long discontinued and how much inventory they have, but very often - if you go to one of the Super Wally's in the early morning with a print out of the online price and speak only with the manager of the electronics department they will often not only match the online price but agree to additional discounts to the price, especially if they have a lot of floor stock.

Several of the manager's who have said they can't do anything today often will finish with "but if you come back on Friday/Monday" (usually within 3-4 days) I'm sure we can work something out with the only drawback being that Slickdealers sometimes raid all of the stock in the mean time and when you return there aren't any left. They are motivated because if it isn't a quick sell off the non-Super stores send their floor stock to the Super stores to be cleared out which increases inventory and hurts the bottom line for every month they still have stock.

I was educated about this by a very old Wally's manager some time ago who also shared that if you are polite and undemanding they are more inclined to help. He also said that most people act foolishly by being unrelenting, emotional, angry, aggressive and demanding often leading to yelling and/or demanding to see his boss - never understanding that the store does not have to match the Walmart online price and rarely will on new or popular products on top of which when they do and/or provide additional discounts they are required to document why because what they do is reviewed by others later on.

I'm not familiar with TV specs all that well. A google search indicated that a motion rate of 120 is the same as a 60 hz refresh rate. Am I getting that right?

motion rate most likely means that the Native refresh rate is still 60hz but they will enable motion interpolation that makes it look like 120hz (Soap Opera Effect). Some people like, some hate. Motion rate is done differently between alot of companies so it may not even be interpolation but instead they just flash the backlight at 120hz which really doesn't do much at all when the panel is native 60hz

Thinking of using as a large display for computer presentations. Anyone know if given the specs this would look good vs looking like crap?

Really want something like this for a garage TV, but at this point I might as well wait until spring when I can use it again and hope for a slightly better deal once another year of models comes out.
Last year in the fall I saw some really good deals, I'm waiting out until then nothing has been amazing recently.
