If you have trouble with online ordering (aka your tires are not in stock) go to the store and they can order them for you! Else, the Costco website invites you to check for the tires to be in stock they claim that the stock is updated many times a day and other BS such as that. OBTW in order to check availability online, you have to Log in, select a warehouse input your year Make model and engine type, confirm that the tire placard on the door agrees with their systems tire spec. If your tire is still not in stock, Wait a period of time, AND START THIS BUNCH OF CRAP ALL OVER AGAIN! YOU CAN'T SAVE ANYTHING.

I was told by the Costco Tire Dept on Sunday that the Penny Install was not until the second week of the sale. The Tires were in the system for $70 off on Sunday, but they had no information on the penny install. They were expecting it in the second week of the sale. He recommended ringing it all up at one time because there was a 50/50 chance that they would fix it later. I am ordering Defenders and they are not available in my area to order online...I have to go to the warehouse.

For Pilot Sport A/S 3s, it was cheaper at Costco before the $70 off. Plus, Costco does lifetime inflation, rotation, and flat repair. I've also had them balance for free in the past.

Are these services included in the ~$15 installation fee at a local shop? I doubt it.

I used to get my tires from Costco, then I read similar shenanigans about how Costco wasn't price competitive. And I wanted Contis which weren't sold at Costco, so I went with Sears Auto. Even though they were a lot cheaper $100-150 than the Michelin equivalent at Costco, I've had to pay out of pocket for any subsequent services, since Sears Auto closed in my city. $15 flat repair + $28 tire rotation cuts heavily into my perceived 'savings'. Who knows how many balances I'll need in the next few years.

Even before they closed, they were always a hassle to get any 'lifetime' services done (eg tire balance, which I paid extra for). And you'd have to wait 2-3 hours despite making an appointment. At Costco, just go 15 minutes before they open and you'll be first in line.

Tires last a long time, especially if you're getting 80K warranty tires for passenger vehicles. Lifetime services (especially rotation and balance) makes a huge difference.

Yes, because people only become members to buy tires. Wish SD had some sort of basic intelligence test to register to post...

Idiot.

Never used Costco for tires before, but need new tires. Is this a good deal compares to what you would get at your local shop? Also, any reviews on the Costco service / installation? TIA

Doesn't say 1c install anywhere. Only $70 off. Unless I'm not seeing it on mobile.

Don't say any 1c tire install. Wasn't that last months promo with Bridgestone?

Just checked the coupon book, no 1c install at all mentioned. Only $70 off.

I too want to know if we can use this in combo: https://www.michelinman.com/US/en...tions.html

An extra $70 would be sexy. Also, what's Costco's warranty on tires? Anything special?

EDIT: Fine print says NOPE to Costco purchases.

Sale starts 9/5 tomorrow. There is a 50/50 chance on getting the install refunded according t the tire guy at Costco. The penny install is not in the system till around second week of sale.
