Not that this is particularly hard to install, but I just noticed that Amazon is offering free installation for this. Its normally $129.

I am curious about the battery thing too and don't want something with a 'subscription' required for it to be useful which the comments seem to indicate is needed @ $30/yr. Anyone have one of these working well somehow without the subscription? thx

So do the "quick" release batteries also quickly release for a thief?
No, there is a torn screw on the bottom. I guess if a thief was coming up with a small torx he could open it.. laugh out loud

Awesome! Great price. I'm getting it. I have the Ring home security with protection plus monitoring and adding this will be great. Really like their home security. So much cheaper than others.

Does this come with a Chime or do these connect to Chime I already have from regular Bell or do I need to buy it separately

You need Ring Chime. This is only the doorbell.

Finally a decent price on the ring 2 - probably will go FP unless this is a price mistake that they fix quickly. Around $100 feels right for these IMO.

I have the first version of the doorbell which still suits our needs after a few years. However, the better video quality and supposedly better motion detection of this version 2 certainly makes this deal tempting to me. Hard for me to replace something that's still working though.

I stuck my old one on the back slider. Connected it to chime and now have another camera for my deck. Also helps from the kids banging on the glass.

That's what I'm doing with my Ring 1.

There is a screw underneath so you cant just pop it off
