FWIW: Recently I tried adding a line through their website, but it prompted me to switch to either their new 2GB/4GB/8GB plans, or one of their new unlimited plans. When I went in store, the representative didn't see this prompt, and I was able to successfully add my line without changing my plan.

Just be prepared when this promo launches to venture into a local store if you don't want your plan to change. YMMV of course

You can add a line to your existing plan then cancel one of your current lines, but you WILL lose the original phone number. You can't change the number of the newly added line. Edit: Keep the old line active for one more month. After that, customer service should be able to switch the two lines and then cancel the unwanted number.

Could you do the Sprint BYOD and then transfer number back to Verizon for this promotion as a new line?

This thread about to blow up. I waited an extra week to port our two lines into a family plan. Had a feeling they would do some type of offer with the new iPhones.

Buy one get one promotion, but you only get up to $700 in credit. Something's not right.

EDIT: My bad, didn't see the full title. I read bogo and Xs and Xs Max thinking credit should be minimum $1k but the promotion includes the older phones. Shame on me and Shame on Verizon.

Agreed, none of the new phones are $700

LMAO, this is Verizon's "best iPhone launch offer ever" ?

You have to activate a NEW line

I guess that means a big F-U to all current customers who can upgrade

Hopefully they have something for current customers at 12 AM Pacific / 3 AM Eastern tonight

I got in on a BOGO deal for a couple of iPhone 8 in July with Verizon. Problem is, they're charging me for both phones every month. Verizon acknowledged that it's a mistake, but they don't seem capable of fixing the problem.

Three months. Still being charged for both phones.

Good luck!

Interesting. I almost jumped on last year's BOGO deal but held off until I missed out. I'm curious whether this requires an unlimited plan. That would be a deal-killer for me. We're currently grandfathered into a pre-unlimited plan that's plenty of data for us and cheaper than any option we could get now. Also curious if the iPhone XR is going to be included next month.

If you're an existing customer and add another line into family plan, that should count, no?
