If you are wondering if it works with the Nintendo Switch the answer is no, unfortunately. This is the answer from the manufacturer.

Due to the design of our chipset, it will not work with the Nintendo Switch.

Best Regards,

Does this work if i plug the usb into my router and the ethernet to my laptop (with an ethernet cable)? Trying to save an ethernet port on my router for something else.

Anyone know the chipset and whether it's any good? I recall the main ones are ASIX and Realtek, with I believe ASIX being the one that's more compatible with different devices.

Not a Slickdeal. This is the usual price for these things. Got a Unitek and a few Cablecreations brand ones for my older Raspberry Pi's and all of them were under $10.

Probably wouldn't have the drivers. You should just get an Ethernet switch to add more ports to your router.

I bought one a while ago so I could connect to two different wired networks at the same time. That's not something most people would need to do though.

Or like the other person mentioned, computers that only have Wifi and no hardwired networking.

I can't remember what I paid, but this thing works like a champ when I need it.

Edit: Amazon said I paid $14.99 for this back in March.
