After using a laser mouse and then switching to an optical, in terms of gaming usage, the optical blows the laser out of the water. Laser mice have built in acceleration that cannot be turned off. For gaming, that is a huge disadvantage.

Just a heads up, logitech products carry 3 year warranties, they'll just replace your mouse for free real quick if you contact them. They're very good about it.

Have this one, and although I'm using G900 for gaming these days, at this price G602 is a steal. G602 is a work horse, batteries last forever tracking is great and customization through Logitech software is really good.
Also, it's personal, but for my hand G602 feels good - good arc, little havier than G900, but comfortable. Buttons also are intuitive and easy to use.

I have this one also and really like it. My scroll wheel pushbutton has started to go after a year and a half so will probably pick one of these up. Thanks much!

I bought this mouse last time it was on sale. I don't do any gaming but the number and placement of programmable buttons make this a must have.

This is a pretty good mouse but I wouldn't say its great for competitive FPS' if thats what you are buying it for. It's honestly better as a work mouse in my opinion. Its too heavy and the liftoff distance is not good for something like CS or quake.

It is a good value at this price though, thats for sure. And also if you aren't playing seriously you probably dont need to worry about what i said.

I dont know if I would agree. They replaced one of mine, but it took probably a dozen time sensitive emails and mimi surveys. I probably semt two hours of going back and forth over the course of a week to replace a 30$ mouse that was clearly defective.

This being said logitech makes great products and have been the best in my opinion for a long time.
