LOWES Utilitech 32 W T8 LED bulbs 4-pack 4.99 B&M YMMV

In the clearance section of a local Lowes, 30328, I noted nicely reduced T8 bulbs for 4.99$/ 4-pack from 22.00$. This is a B&M deal only as the online reference shows that the item is no longer available.
Web address for reference: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitec...1000264747

If you still have the 4-foot light housing or plan to buy the housing, this will make a nice deal at 1.25$/ bulb. These give 20,000 hours of operation in the Kelvin temp colours 4000, 5000 and 6000. These bulbs do require an electronic ballast and do not work with direct wiring. If your light housing is less than 40-years old, it likely has an electronic ballast and not the magnetic type. I connected the 5000k bulb to a 15-year old housing and it worked fine. Here is a posting for the same bulbs earlier this year in February.

Nice, a few stores with them in stock at this price, bummer no online coupon use due to in-store only.

You don't need for on-line coupons with http://mmerson.com/ giving you bar code coupons on your phone that the store can/ will scan for the discount.

Bought these at this price a few days ago, none of the lights worked with my existing ballasts despite them saying they're compatible with most kinds

It works with most modern electronic ballast. You probably have old magnetic ballasts.

These require an electronic ballast. You cannot direct connect these to AC.

At $1.25/bulb, it's finally worth replacing the tubes in the kitchen. And plenty of them at a Lowes that I already have an order waiting for pickup. Thanks OP!

BTW - 6k is going to be really blue/harsh. 4k is basically white with a little yellow tint. 5k is white with a little bit of blue tint. Pick carefully.

Picked up 4 of the 4k bright white and already installed in the basement... plug and play with T8 electronic ballasts. Shouldn't have to replace a bulb as long as I live here. Local store had 84 in stock.

Packaging states 14W, so less than half of a fluorescent.
