This drive is SATA III NOT NVMe. Benefit would be similar performance to a traditional 2.5" SSD in a more compact M.2 form factor. This will not benefit from the added speeds of PCIe bus via an NVMe interface. Still a great drive for the price, thanks OP!

It's m.2 SATA not m.2 PCIe.
