Accidental drop coverage through square trade via Costco is $99.

There is not a better price on this laptop with these specs, period.

I've been looking for a while.

Yes, it's an odd time to buy a laptop since Black Friday is around the corner, but Costco has a three month return period for laptops.

This is a great deal.

$1400 for a 1080p laptop? sorry that's a bit expensive

"The 1080p panel also offers an above-average brightness of 293 nits. The MacBook Pro (458 nits) and Dell XPS 13 (415 nits for 4K, 372 nits for 1080p) come close to the X1 Carbon and its HDR screen."

This X1 Carbon's screen is not that bright at all and is considerably worse than it's own optional 4K monitor

Right now you can go on Lenovo's website and configure the laptop with the same specs but instead put in a 256GB SSD and the most expensive WQHD display for $1536

Id rather pay $136 more and get a much brighter and higher quality screen

Lukewarm at best

More glare and use more power.

This screen is totally fine unless you use this outdoor a lot.
