Seems not to bode well that it's a ~3+ year old Chromebook still without Google Play support... thanks for the link however

I wish I could try this out and see how it could handle something like Youtube & Notepad++ (Or Google Docs)

Also wondering if the battery life is probably shot by now. Would imagine it's at least $35 for a battery replacement

Agreed but google play may not be a deal breaker for many. Good build quality and normal warraty + free shipping + no tax. Maybe. So many "deals" come out on chromebooks but many are janky trash. Good luck hunting!

you don't need more than a celeron for browsing.

This is what you get if you just need a very cheap laptop for a kid. It's not likely to get any of the newer features such as Android and Linux app support.. And while it's a fine machine for facebook and twitter and reddit etc it doesn't have the features of higher end models. Great deal for kids or a coffee table device or even a loaner.

Meh, I'll just keep using my Insignia 10.1" win 8 tablet, that I got from Cowboom.
If Iwas going to upgrade, it'll have tobeon a 14" screen.

i bought this way back when on Dell's website when it was on clearance and still use it today. It's a no frills, basic laptop to surf the web, watch Hulu/Netflix and that's it. Battery life isn't bad. For office stuff (Google sheets and docs) you're going to find that the keyboard is a bit on the small side.

This is price I'd completely willing to pay!
But wish there was touchscreen feature, for my old tired eyes, and fingers and fine motor skills that have gradually started deteriorating with age.
