How is this compared to Bose Soundsport?

No noise cancellation on microphone. I work in a noisy environment while still needing to talk on the phone to clients; this product claims to have an active mic but it really doesn't. While testing it with my friend on the other line, he could hear everything in the surrounding environment, including a motorcycle idling across the street. Standing next to a normal house fan, he said it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel. He could even hear the birds chirping outside. Not what I expected from a product that claims to solve that exact problem.

In terms of sound, while it is clear, there is a definite feeling of lack in power.

Add me to the list. I looked at isotunes xtra after returning my sony sbh90c for exact same reason as Wulfrax started above.

Add me to the list as well. Bose Soundsport plays great music but has very bad microphone.

I was hoping Jabra would have good mic, especially considering the fact that lot of corporates use Jabra headsets for work.

To everyone asking about good background noise filtering based on my comments above....I moved to using a product really meant for calls, the Plantronics Voyager 5200. In a noisy environment these are hands down best things for me. 4 mics built in it so the call quality in any environment is unbeatable. Around $100-$120 on Amazon.

If you want to stick to an earbud setup similar to the one here though, it is tough. I don't like to spend a lot on these things so the best I've found are the Samsung Level U Pro. They have dual mics with echo cancellation and noise reduction. They only cost around $45 on Amazon.

Just a note that the more mics = better for those of us in noisy places. Paired with decent background noise cancelling technology, each mic essentially multiplies the effectiveness. So a good place to start on anything you're interested in is just to read how many mics are built in it.

Also have the voyager and work in a call center.. By far the best head set for noise canceling on the mic and pretty decent sound quality for music

I use the Samsung Level U Pro daily for the past year and can say it has great mic quality. The only thing I don't like is the hard collar style but the battery life, dual mics with noise reduction and sound quality make up for it.

By far Voyager Focus UC is still seen to be the best in noise cancelling. I have standing inside a data center closed cabin between two server rack and 4 commercial fans. Really loud, but I was able to talk to the vendor and troubleshoot in the DC without noticing any noise on my end. very amazed, I used it for over 3yrs now. Very durable as I wear it daily and recently have to walk around a lot and gets lots of support call. It does get bulky so was trying to find a more convenient set. I tried this and the Bose headset on display at Costco for over $200 bulkier and it has to cover your entire ear but it didn't do a good job at noise canceling as the focus that just sit over your ear. also, test a few set of beats, not a fan at all. this sound amazing on long road trip without interrupting passenger napping. That's an amazing headset ever.
