Hmmm....Newegg just started charging me tax. A few days ago I ordered some video cards with no tax added.

"Compatible with Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Windows 10
Includes Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 PCs and tablets"

I know it says this, but does it work on Windows 7 and/or has anyone gotten it to work on Windows 7?

I believe it only works on Windows 7 either wired or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.

Related but unrelated - I recommend anyone using this with Windows get the wireless adapter. I've found it to be much more consistent, stable, and feature rich when compared to using Bluetooth.

Which means, yes, you an adapter. A blue tooth adapter if you don't have one already. (But that's how all adapters are, you need one if you don't have one.) Nothing wireless works magically with anything, you need a receiver if you have a transmitter.

lol really helpful. No he meant the the special adapter that older controllers needed. Most computers and mobile devices have Bluetooth. No "special adapter" necessary. The current Xbox controllers like this one use Bluetooth.

These were packaged for use on the Xbox,so of course they won't have aditional accesories.

I use bluetooth on Windows, but they do sell a controller with the wireless adapter but they generally don't get huge discounts. In most cases it will be cheaper to get a discounted controller and buy the adapter.

57.88

Also on Amazon for the same price

One last thing you can use rechargeable batteries with the controller, also I would rather do that then shell out money for a new controller just becuase the battery built in is toast.
