I bought these the last time they were on sale. They work real well - polarized plastic lenses definitely do that job...but damn are these things flimsy. Like, do not underestimate the flimsy factor.

If you baby these and be careful though, I'd say worth it. I'm still wearing them a year later.

Living where it snows I'll say that winter is one of the most important times to have sunglasses.

So not to buy into the hype but I notice the pricier sunglasses polarized are clearer in my experience. Like Okaley ones and Ray Ban seems to just have that clarity that my cheaper ones don't. And for some reason Maui Jims are even clearer but I couldn't justify the cost. Having said that, how are these lenses in terms of clarity?

If eye protection is your main reason for buying these then there's something to keep in mind. According to the description these only block UV light not UVB. You would want glasses that block "UV 400" that block all wavelength up to 400 nano meters in size. I'll avoid it since I would mainly want eye protection but for the sake of fashion and balling on a budget these seem okay.

Wife got a split membership with coworker for Costco recently for a few months (we already have Sam's) so iay take advantage of it. Do you know if they are all $90? I think the ones I like years ago but didn't want to spend $200+ were Maui Jim Paniolo 712-02D Gunmetal Polarized Sunglasses . also do you know if Maui have changed over the years like Ray-Ban? I have 2 identical pair of Ray-Bans one from China and one from Italy and the quality is pretty noticeable in construction of frame (luckily not the lenses).

Maui or Costa can't even be compared to Ray Ban or MarcJacobs, and far far from these glasses. They are on completely different level of glasses and in my eyes are top of the line. Ofcoarse they are not fashion designer glasses. For 12$ a pair it's still an excellent deal, got one of each. Own a pair of costa 580G and a Maui for fishing and they are incredible, my favorite!

pretty funny that this made front page with only 2 comments... undercover sponsored post i guess... the amazon reviews for this brand are minimal but not that confidence building.

if you want real polarization you need to look at glasses in the $50+ range. ive had dozens of cheap glasses that i thought were polarized, but once i got some $50 oakleys(holbrooks on sale) i realized that the cheap ones were all junk.
