I have one for 3 years, used as a usb power hub from the single TV usb power output to power chromecast, antenna amplifier etc... works great!

It has no more than 1amp power which is not sufficient for multiple usb3.0 devices. There are some reviews which will explain in detail.

I got one of the over a year ago now and I rarely use it. It seems to rob some power for it's own use. I had it plugged into the usb3 port on my laptop and with nothing else connected to it, it would not reliably keep a portable HDD connected. Kept getting disconnect messages even when it wasn't running. Of course the HDD had no issues when plugged directly into the ubs3 port.

Attached to the bottom of my desk with a USB extension cable. Works great for USB drives or other USB devices that don't need a lot of power 👍🏻
