These are great devices. I have 3 on smartthings with a custom device handler. Lowest price I've seen is $9 but at $12 is still good deal

You didn't ask me, but I ordered one to get notifications when my dryer is done. The washer is 110v, so I was able to use a smartthings outlet, but the dryer is 220v so you need something like this.

So do you hook these up to the power cables running from the washer or dryer to the plug? I'm a little confused about how exactly they're being used.
