I bought couple of sea gull fans last time around when HD had this price. Installed both. The installation is easier than other fans, especially canopy. It also has safety wire that can be bolted to joist for added protection, in case junction box fails. Above 5000cfm airflow at max speed. I installed remote and had enough room in the canopy.

only thing I didn't like is the GU24 connection. I bought GU24 to e26/27 adaptor to use normal led bulbs. make sure bulbs are small else it won't fit in the small space.

Since I never tried the motion sensing lights, does anyone know if these lights dont switch on during the day and only work during nights when a motion is sensed? If they do switch on in the day, it's time for me to buy a battery company

Thanks for posting. I didn't even know there was such a thing. What kind of bulbs are your able to put in 60 watt equivalents?

Yeah. They're not exactly "special" bulbs but no idea why these manufacturers stray from the A19/ES26 which is EVERY OTHER BULB in your house unless you have the small candelabras (E12) in some chandelier. I have a fan with E17's and a kitchen "boobie" fixture that has GU sockets. Wanting to ditch them both because of the dumb bulbs. I could rewire the one with ceramic bases but barely worth it.

If you have time could you say what you replaced them with? Thanks in advance.
