Frontier is ok, but any basic economy fare is a very different experience from Alaskan.

Frontier sales have sub $40 RT flights a couple times a year. I wouldn't count on it for work though. Normal prices seem to be ~$45 one way when not on sale. Southwest airlines has RT flights from Vegas to Salt lake City mostly every month for $40.
