One of my first posts, so I apologize in advance for any issues!

I was looking for a new saw and found that the Dremel Ultra Saw is on clearance on Home Depot's website for 50% off. Normally priced at $99, now down to $49.50 with free shipping.

Here is the link:

Great price on this!

I use mine when I need a quick simple cut where a full size saw makes no sense.
Last time I used it was to cut out the furnace vents in locking flooring. Worked well and did what In needed.

Mainly for smaller work where a full size circular saw would be to big to get in there. For $50, I would say it it well worth it. if you do trim or minor little things that a skill or chop saw would be to aggressive or to big might be a good tool.

Also, I'd say, if you use an oscillating multi tool from time to time this may fill some gaps there too. The same size and ease but as a circular saw. Also I would say it is like an oscillating multi tool in that those who use them love them, and those who never use them never get to realize how handy they are.

I think it is handy, but I restore and repair furniture. So tools are my lively hood. Better tools, or work done, more money.

Max cutting depth is about 3/4 inch so you're not cutting any 2x4s...

Nice deal. Would definitely be in for one if I hadn't pulled the trigger on the porter Cable saw from the big Lowes clearance recently. That and the angle grinder I already have should cover all the bases that this one does

What's the advantage of this saw over a Multi-Max? I read reviews where people are talking about flush cuts and plunge cuts, which the M-M does very well. Just wondering.

Damn, was interested in a smaller dremel for hard to reach/small areas. This thing seems waaay to big a beast for what I was looking for.

What's anyone using this for? The Tool-man in me wants one, but don't want to throw away money if I'm never going to use it.
