These have given me pretty good discounts beating out Costco most of the time, it's always good to check what you'd get with both though!

Make sure to use both for the biggest discount:

AWD: W126967

Coupons:

MUCA060 - $15 Off $125 (Expires: 3/31/19)

MUCA061 - $25 Off $175 (Expires: 3/31/19)

MUCA062 - $75 Off $600 (Expires: 3/31/19)

UUCA019 - Free Upgrade (Expires: 3/31/19)

(Not Valid in Hawaii)

Pretty good rates - do you know who the awd is for? My local Avis always asks for ID.

I found the AWD posted on a Travel Forum and found a set of codes most of which that didn't work with this AWD but these 4 did work. I have personally tried these in CA and Portland, OR (both within the last 3 months. both didn't require any ID and it didn't say anything on the confirmation saying to present ID at pickup. I'm not an Avis Preferred either so I had to go to the rental counter, but if you're Avis Preferred you can use these and skip the counter too.

Can I ask how long ago you tried? Just because I've heard in the past they used to do that, but recently with more businesses paying for employee travel they've stopped asking.

Picked up last Tuesday and they asked for ID. It does vary by location but this is the one I use the most.

Sorry that happened, I'm wondering if it's just for big companies? Because my cousin who actually works for the company doesn't carry any employee ID on him ever.

I think Mike was telling you it was a report -- he has seen it before.

I searched last night and came up with a $130 rate for an SUV for a week in Vegas. I currently have $173, so a substantial savings. However, Avis' rate did not include taxes and fees which brought it up closer to $220. I am sticking with my $173.

Amazon has some link with Avis and you can get the same rate with no coupons if you are a Prime member. You also get 10% back as an Amazon credit. There is also some Alexa app that you can reserve through and get 20% back. I couldn't get it to work and most of the (very poor) ratings said it wouldn't work. If you Google Amazon Avis, it should come up.

Oh, okay.

Thumper you should definitely check this to compare.

I just picked a random week long rental in Vegas, next Tuesday the 11th through the 18th and it came out less than the $173.

Budget is usually better pricing for returning to the same location, while Avis is better priced for one-way rentals from what I've seen and rented. You can also book through a portal for additional discounts.

We are actually going four days later -- Dec 15-22 -- so I checked it out. Found an SUV for $117 pay now. When I clicked on it, it jumped to $130 plus $80 in taxes and fees bringing it up to just over $210. $37 more money.

I've got an Autoslash alert and they've notified me a couple times when the rate goes down and I've rebooked. I've rebooked this rental at least twice so far, so it's definitely worth doing.

Hmm...try again with Budget I just tried the 15th to the 22nd and got $165 with Unlimited Miles after taxes and fees for an Intermediate SUV.

Used BCD: X413741
Coupon: MUCZ044

I tried it in the Budget app with Pay Now maybe that's the difference? Yeah I rebook 2-3 times for big trips lol every dollar counts!
