Compared to the $200 Z390 Taichi, the Taichi Ultimate adds 10 Gbps ethernet, upgraded wireless, and onboard power and reset buttons.

I don't think you can get equal or better VRMs at $200 from what I've seen.

So it's mostly a question of whether you think 10 Gbps ethernet is worth $75.

On sale with a free bonus item I doubt I would use. I have been looking at this board for my new build and would rather NO rebate. Buy now or wait for better sale if they even have one. Free shipping, no tax, rebate and free SSD......

I was already looking at purchasing this item anyways, but I think this just sealed the deal! A few bucks off is nice, and a little SSD as well included, why not? I'm building two Z390 machines, so definitely going to use this board in one of them!

Thank you!

Oh man, I'm trying to decide between the ASRock (Tiachi ultimate/ Phantom Gaming 9) and Gigabyte Z390 Master.

The VRM of the Master looks pretty good, but bring 4 USB 2.0 ports, where the ASRock exchanges those for 3.0 (3.1 gen 1) ports.

Not sure witch has the better VRM, but this temps the to grab the Tiachi Ultimate.

Decision decision?!?!?!...

I'm not seeing the reason for the 70 extra on the 200+ motherboard. I'm seeing similar products at a lower price range. Can someone clue me in on what's special about this particular board?

I have the 370 variant and love it. Had some bios issues (fixed now, not sure if the 390 has the same.) 4.5/5 from me (like you care lol)

Have you seen the new Gigabyte board? It's a little bit overkill but if you were between the two, prepare to drool over it.

Pretty sick boards, all of them, really.

I like the Gigabyte Xtreme board for the NIC's/the insane audiophile sound components/cooling options/crazy VRM/all kinds of other stuff. I'm not sure how much it's going to cost, I'm guessing between $300-$400 (that's purely a guess). EDIT: I was way off, it's $550.

Yeah, I'm not looking to spend over $300. I already have a there nice external DAC/AMPS.

Newegg list the Aorus Extreme at $550. I'm close to pulling the trigger on the ASRock Tiachi Ultimate as of now....

That is a pretty expensive board, I don't know if I will be buying that. It has some really nice features but I got burned on a $500 X99A board awhile ago, might as well just get a nice $300~ board.

Yeah, the Tiachi Ultimate will be most expensive motherboard I've purchased. $290 isn't really cheap, so $550 is far more than I want or need to spend. my current MB is an Asus Z170 Deluxe I found for $199.

I Almost when with the ASRock Phantom Gaming 9 as it's very similar spec wise (except for the 10gig NIC from what I could tell), but I like the look of the Tiachi Ultimate more and for $20 more, what the heck.
