Different model (Vivobook no S), no SSD, no MX150.

I own this laptop and have posted in previous threads. I keep posting because I keep getting Deal Alert pings for "SSD", even though I've added "-laptop", so thought people would want to hear my take on this laptop.

Main drawback is the display, which is a bit blurry. It should be on display at Microcenter, so you can check it out if you live near one.

I have this exact laptop model (MS52) from Microcenter. Paid $650+Tax (a bit over $700 total).

I've been gaming on this laptop since May, and have not had any power/'lock up' issues. On the other hand, I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro on my own 512 GB SSD.

[The display is] not IPS, and a bit blurry.

... It is thin, and very light (3.3 lbs). It also has good battery life compared to other brands in this category (Dell, HP, Acer). I get about 7 hours web browsing from the 42 Whr battery, whereas other entrants get 4-5 hrs from a 42 Whr battery

This laptop fits my needs but I don't know if I should get a 9570 for future-proofing...

Looks great. As someone said above, ticks most of the boxes.

Gotta admit, just started laptop shopping last week for the first time in several years... when did manufacturers abandon ethernet in these things? Not totally a dealbreaker, but I don't have a desktop anymore, and for things like firmware updates to my router, I prefer to connect directly.

EDIT: Yes, I get it. Yes, there are ethernet adapters that work via usb. Cool. Now I know.

Does anyone know if this laptop supports DP out via the USB-c? Only having and hdmi 1.4 out kind of sucks.

No ethernet, no deal.
If you REALLY need wired ethernet. You can get them cheaper as well. I would personally never trade the thin models for wired ethernet these days but that is my usage.
