11/17/2018: BACK IN STOCK , ALTHOUGH BACKORDERED, EXPECTED TO SHIP BETWEEN 11/26 AND 11/30
Please note: Holiday Promotions not eligible for Costco 30 day price adjustment. Don't buy now and expect to get your $600 back in 3 weeks. Be patient and wait.

* I just chatted with Costco customer service and they said they haven't made a final decision yet regarding price adjustments during Black Friday. I uploaded a screenshot of the convo.

EDIT 11-9-18: just noticed the wiki about the price adjustment. i did speak to a rep yesterday before i placed the order about price adjustment. he said they will do it within the 30 days. i then spoke to a another rep now named Al. He said they (costco reps) got an email saying they will honor price adjustments for "holiday pricing". not sure if that means BF pricing too but this sale price is part of their Holiday ad, not the BF ad. he then added notes to my order to show i can get the price adjustment when i request it. so anyone on the fence, i suggest just calling and try to also get notes on your order about approving the price adjustment...or just wait til the 16th.

tldr;
Quote from reviewed.com :
This is the best TV Vizio has ever made.
Quote from cnet.com :
At $1,500 the P-Series Quantum is an absolute steal. It outperforms any non-OLED TV I've reviewed this year.
Quote from rtings.com :
The Vizio P Series Quantum is an excellent LED LCD TV, especially when viewed in a dark room. It has great picture quality in both SDR and HDR thanks to the wide color gamut, very high peak brightness, and great local dimming feature.
Quote from soundandvision.com :
And how did the Vizio stand up against my LG 65E7 OLED (a 2017 model)? Far better than I expected. Colors looked similar (though not identical) on both. The Vizio's strong suit was its far greater peak brightness, though this wasn't obvious wih all HDR material in a side-by-side comparison. (It was glaringly obvious, however, in the final, fiery battle scene from Wonder Woman.) The LG, on the other hand, offers the advantage of a simpler setup, impeccable off-axis viewing, and exceptional black level and shadow detail (though the Vizio came closer than you might expect for the latter two points).
Quote from techradar.com :
This is the best display that Vizio has ever introduced. It has all of the technology bells and whistles for a price that we think may induce other manufacturers to lower prices as Vizio targets the OLED market.
Quote from thewirecutter.com :
The Vizio PQ65-F1 is the best-looking LCD TV we have seen to date, producing blacks that come the closest to what an OLED TV can do, as well as the brightest HDR highlights we have measured in any TV. Both SDR and HDR content look stunningly good on it. This TV only comes in a 65-inch screen size, but if you want the best picture performance you can get on an LCD TV today, the Vizio PQ is a no-brainer pick.

If you win the panel lottery this is the best TV $1400 can get you. Blacks are near OLED blacks without the risk of burn-in. And you much brighter HDR picture.

Costco provides a 2 year warranty standard. If you purchase with a costco card that adds an additonal 2 years. If you buy a squaretrade warranty through costco ($99 i believe)that adds an additonal 3 years at the end for 7 years of total coverage.

This is my experience with this set since I unboxed it and calibrated to my color likings, what sucks and what's good.

Sucks:
Upscaling, noticeable with the 720P/1080P compressed content, like Cable or streaming videos
OS SmartCast, they should rename it to CrapCast
Very buggy and crashes a lot, t
The remote is IR, hated it, you know why
Banding is there with uniformed colors, does not bother me to be honest

Good:
Amazing Picture Quality
OLED like blacks when the local dimming feature is on
One of the brightest TVs in the market, only Samsung Q9 beats it?
HDR content is awesome. Most HDR UHD movies require around 900 neats to take an advantage
of the real HDR color and this TV got it!!! You gotta watch the Matrix 2003: The revolution in 4K
HDR, is simply amazing!!!!

Warning:
Once you receive an OTA update, make sure to reset it to the factory defaults, it will fix the "input freeze" issues, where switching from one input to another will freeze the TV, it will become unresponsive, the only way to fix is to press the power button for a few seconds.

This is my experience so far for the past 24 hours.

You'd have to go 55" oled at this price. I'd definitely go with this instead.

Costco shoppers can someone fill me in on how these really long warranties I hear about work?
