Can someone confirm if the link works for AA? It's showing me AAA. Not sure if it's anything to do with Shrewsbury,MA store only. Even the filters for size and brand do the same

I found out the same when I thought I ordered the AA pack online and when I got to the store they handed me a pack of AAA at the pickup desk. Checked the OP link for the AA size and it does go to the AAA page on Home Depot's site. A store employee was helpful enough to find me a pack of the AA size so I bought those as well at the register. Rung up at the online price so it's in store as well....

Totally agree. Duracell was once king, but they corrode in EVERYTHING long before they even hit the "expiration" date. I NEVER buy Duracell anymore.
I noticed the exact same thing. I've had one of them explode/leak on my kitchen table as well....

they canceled me and didn't offer a replacement. Just told us not to show up. Was super bugged, the kids were waiting for batts for their toys that day.

Huh, the same thing happened to me. I guess the product code messed up. I didn't get offer for Rayovac because employee went and found HDX AA for me.

It's true ... speaking of smoke detector ...

So a few months ago I had a Kidde smoke detector started beeping after about 2 years in use. So I replaced 2 AA batteries (Kidde own brand) with shrink-wrapped Panasonic alkaline. Still beeping. So I put in 2 Insignia that I bought from Best Buy like 3 months ago. Still beeping.

So I called Kidde, saying it's a defective smoke detector. (it has 5 years warranty, and I moved into the new house 2 years ago.) And described my batteries episode.

The lady asked about battery specifics and said, NO, you have to use fresh and good batteries, with at least 10 years expiration remaining. I said, ok, to prove that, I will go get new Duracell, Sony or Maxell. She said, No, that won't work, go get Kidde brand from Walmart, or use Energizer or Rayovac.

So I bought Energizer, and the smoke detector indeed stopped beeping.
This is very interesting! I wish there where more info about this. Like empirical evidence/information available. But the chances of that available to the public probably slim to none
