I picked one up. So far I'm still doing updates and cleaning up, but it seems like a good value. It's not going to be used for gaming much, but I'll have my son try Fortnite on it to see how it runs and how this laptop's Ryzen handles it.

FYI: the other Costco laptop I was debating between is the Lenovo Flex 5. It is currently on sale at Costco for $650. The main differences between the Envy and the Flex are that the Flex has an i5 with Geforce MX130. They both have the stylus, 2-in-1, back lit keyboard, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD, and FHD IPS screen.

I have two 14" versions of the Flex and they've done well for the couple years I've owned them, so I was tempted to go with the Flex deal instead. But the 15" Flex doesn't have the numeric keypad and my wife is used to having one. So I'm giving this HP Envy a try this time; $50 cheaper and includes the full keyboard.

Here's the Flex deal if you're interested:

Is the Envy at $700 a better deal than the Pavillion at $550?
https://www.costco.com/HP-Pavilio...31724.html

Priced at $700 but due to be on discount starting 11/06. I prefer the 14" screen of pavillion.. but guess if quality/reliability is much better and different for Envy.. can buy that too

HP site shows the memory configuration for this model, 15-BQ213CL, is 2x4GB. has anyone opened it up and confirmed?

Any comments on the display? I am debating between this or a 13 inch version, which is a lot more money for same internal and a better display
