The code is still working.

The next best USB wireless adapter with these specs and decent reviews starts at $26, so this is a no-brainer. Even if you bought it just to harvest the antennas, you'd still be doing well.

For those questioning the brand, it looks like they're using a Realtek chip, so you can probably avoid installing their driver and go with a more updated version on http://realtek.com.tw

For anyone wondering if this is linux compatible, we have these on Fedora 28 servers with the rtl8812au drivers compiled. I also know one of the techs uses it on a ubuntu laptop for site surveys. Smilie

Dual band and looks like it's capable of monitor mode in Linux. Not bad.

kinda off topic question... i have one of these 5ghz usb 3.0 antennas AND a 2.4ghz usb 2.0 antenna. i also have two wireless routers i could connect to my cable modem.

ive read if you have two wifi adapters connected to two wireless routers you can use a splitter service program to increase your speed. any truth to this?

Very little truth to that when you actually put it in practice.

You can use bridge mode to get more reliability out of multiple network adapters, but getting more bandwidth between your adapters and your router (or even multiple ISP connections) for one application only works correctly if they're talking over one IP address.

If you can bridge the connections at your router and on your computer, this can work. Otherwise, you're better off using them separately and assigning individual applications to either IP address.

Also, keep in mind that USB 3.0 emits a frequency that interferes with the 2.4Ghz band for devices within close proximity to the USB 3.0 device.
