Great If you really need it. Only issue is the poor quality of the screen.

If you knew for sure you were getting the better quality AUO panel rather than the LG panel then it's a good buy. Only problem is that a very small percentage of these laptops came with AUO panels while most were LG.

How's Dell build quality? I've been looking for a gaming laptop and looked at Razer (bad quality per review), MSI (ok), ASUS Rog (better ventilation).

Build quality is pretty much the best and maybe only thing Dell has going for it.

Do you really think that laptop is better? I was going to get this one, but I do have a micro center close by and they have them in stock

Mainly looking to do video editing. I also see the one in this deal has an SSD while the Micro Center one does not.

yeah what a weird pairing that beefy i7 with a 1050ti.
Niche crowd that only needs light-medium gaming but tons of cpu power for work-work.

Shame 1060 laptops are still so pricey. Paid $465 for an i5+1050ti, hard to see the value paying $300+ more for a gpu bump.
