Paid $600 two years ago. Best 1440p IPS panel you can find. If you dont care about color accuracy than the TN panel version is a few hundred cheaper.

FYI - HDMI is only 60hz if anyone cares. has to be display port for gsync and 144hz. Than you need a GTX 9 series or higher to go above 165 as the older cards DP isnt compatible. I got a old 770 that stays at 60hz.

I've really been enjoying the 144Hz setting and leave it on for games and Windows desktop as the smoothness of scrolling and such is fantastic. You can check that you properly turned it on by going into the display's menus and enabling on screen display refresh rate, and you need to change it in your settings: https://m.windowscentral.com/how-...windows-10

Also, I'd recommend playing with your settings in games. In the Witcher 3, for instance, you need to disable the frames per second cap by setting it to Maximum, and turn off V-Sync. You might also like the look of the game with motion blur and those sorts of settings turned off as they will obscure some of the smoothness that your monitor is capable of. It's really nice.

Make sure to try the settings created by Zerocool23 over here (it's post #1563): https://www.overclock.net/forum/4...1?page=157 as it will help you get solid color and dynamic range performance. You apply the on screen display settings, and then download and apply the color profile that he has attached to his post.

How to apply the profile in Windows: https://pcmonitors.info/articles/...n-windows/

Disable vsync if you use gsync otherwise it will run way worse. Its competing techs. Both hold the last frame until the next comes in so you essentially adding frame lag for no reason.

This seems like the same thing as this AOC deal posted earlier (that is $70 cheaper). Can someone tell me the difference?

Same panel in both, very few differences. Physical looks and on screen menu features are main difference. Manufacturer warranty and customer support might be another consideration.

I am also curious about the differences between the deals. Can anyone point to a reason the Acer might be worth the extra clams?

Just got this a few weeks ago for a little more but no tax (so roughly the same). Fantastic screen. Paired with my 1080Ti it's a dream.

Promo code isn't working now and isn't shown on site anymore.
I've had this monitor for 3 years and it is amazing, no dead pixels and minimal IPS glow

Unfortunately, same thing happened to me... I did notice the code was good until 11/4 so hopefully they'll get some more this weekend

Thank you OP for updating the post with backorder status... I didn't even realize it. Ordered mine.

I haven't bought a monitor in over a decade. What is the point of usb 3.0 inputs on it when you can connect things to whatever the monitor is attached to??? (pc/tv)
