20% CB on Amazon Prime Card for Jabra Elite Active 65t, Elite 65t/65e/45e/25e $56

Amazon is running a 20% CB promotion for the Amazon Prime Card on a handful of Jabra products, notably the Elite Active 65t, 65t, 65e and others.

https://www.amazon.com/l/17985366...SIAJJUIWDD

Note that the 20% includes the normal 5% you'd get as a Prime Card holder, so it's really more of a 15% off. But this is the best price I've seen on their truly wireless headphones since the short-lived Best Buy deals.

This is an alright deal on NEW Jabra Elite Active 65t. Sales tax on the full price, at 10% for me, the all in is $171 after the 20% CB. Waiting for another ebay coupon may be preferable to some.

The eBay 15% coupon used on the manufacturer refurbished units from Jabra itself for $118 all in was the best I've seen so far.

FYI, personally for me, the regular Elite 65t were slick and didn't stay in the ear well at all. The Active 65t is a little better, but I still don't use them during the gym/weightlifting due to them becoming loose or falling out. I love them for the office though.

I have the regular (non-active) and love them for the gym and running. Even though they are really only one size due to the tips, they've been better than most headphones (and I've had a lot lol). ymmv for sure Smilie

I've used the Google Pixel Buds myself for the better part of the past year and generally consider myself an audio nut. (e.g. my regular computer setup is Grado SR80's connected to a discrete Fiio DAC/headphone amp) I actually like the Pixel Buds' audio quality quite a bit, and they're probably about as comfortable as a pair of headphones can reasonably get. But the lack of sound isolation makes them completely impractical for the long plane travel I'll do, not to mention my regular commute but I've dealt with it.

Immediate reactions with a couple of hours on the Elite Active 65t's are positive. The fit is reasonably comfortable, though they'll take some getting used to coming from the Pixel Buds which don't sit inside your ear. Soundstage is small but maybe they'll improve with burn-in (my old Klipsch IEM's did, at least). Very good resolving but a little sibilant with s's on spoken voice; I'll play with the equalizer to see if I can fix this. Very good but not overpowering bass once you get a good fit, which isn't hard.

Critically the connection seems strong with my Pixel 3XL, but I'll have a much better sense of that as I travel in the coming days. So far so good.

Edit to update: I've done a transatlantic flight with these and have used them very consistently for the past few days.

The sound isolation is very good (depending on your fit, of course), and the ambient sound mode is handy for when I'm moving about and don't want to be completely removed from my surroundings.

My one real gripe is that the usually rock-solid connection is mediocre when used in Mono mode (with only the right earbud in). Not a deal-breaker since they've been quite good in normal stereo mode. But if that's your intended use case you might want to look elsewhere.

Else I forgot my usual Skype headset on a work trip and have had to use these connected to my Win10 laptop. Technically can keep connected to two devices at the same time, but I don't recommend doing this since sounds from one device can disconnect the other. People on the other side say the audio is good, so they work reasonably well in a pinch. Still not quite as smooth an experience as a dedicated headset, and they definitely perform their best connected to my Pixel 3XL. Maybe Windows/Skype still has a ways to go to properly support bluetooth headsets.

They've had this for a while, but it's a nice deal if you're planning on buying these ASAP. I'd hold out for BF to see what manufacturers are going to offer. It might be nothing, but i'm betting we'll see some deals for wireless earbuds.

Adorama had the "non-active" version for $139 about a month ago or so, so i'm wondering if we'll see that deal come back.

I convinced myself to pass on this offer because the regular 65ts are basically the same (and have a case that's easier to open suprisingly) and those could be found refurbished for cheaper. Plus, with Bluetooth 5 out for sometime now, we should see more headphone makers put out competitive models. I'm waiting to see what Bose and Jaybird do with Bluetooth 5.0 in their wireless earbuds.

Should have gotten the Elite Sport for your uses. They're a bit larger than the 65t but have a more secure fit, additional fitness features and were only $65 for Jabra store refurbs when I snagged some earlier this year. I've seen comments that audio on the Elite Sport is a bit better as well.

Great product. I own the normal and active models, and you can't go wrong with either. The active version has texture or "grip" but that's about it. Definitely a go if you're in the market for killer buds!

Jabra Elite Sports I got refurbished directly from Jabra store on ebay was one of the best purchases I have made in recent times. The headphones fit perfectly in my ear and are absolutely fun during runs and mild weight lifting. Best part is, it just works period, no issue with charging, connecting or pairing or anything !!! Simply amazing.

Amazon says 20% is good through 12/31. Would be a lot slicker if the price dropped on BF and still got the 20 percent.

I've been eyeing these for a while, but I'm waiting on some good reviews on the rha trueconnect before deciding.
