This digital weather station displays indoor/outdoor humidity and temperature. Trend arrows show if the conditions are rising, steady or falling and there is also a daily high/low temperature display. It requires 4 AA batteries (not included) and comes with a 1-year limited warranty.

Also YMMV, this little one is $3, down from $15:

Thanks & repped. Good timing. We had a different brand and it quit working.

That's what we have the internet for. This thermometer will give the temp in my backyard.

It has been less than 10 bucks for a few years. Being said that, this is a great weather station.

Why do you say that?

I have had three of these for several years and all three work very well.

I just now ordered another.

does anyone track higher end models with internet connectivity for weather underground?

would be something interesting to pickup for holiday shopping but not spending the $300+ they typically cost

btw these low end units are also good to track freezer/fridge temps, just put the sensor inside

Neat, seems like it uses 433 MHz, so you can do whatever you want with the data if you have a Raspberry Pi and cheap 433 MHz receiver.

https://github.com/merbanan/rtl_433

Edit: this requires a RTL-SDR which is more expensive than the cheap 433 MHz GPIO adapters I was thinking of ($20 vs <$5), but I tested it and it works fine. It even picks up other sensors from my neighbors.

Thanks, got 4 because they're so cheap. Might use for my Pi.

WU dropped support for the LaCrosse brand ones that Costco has in right now.
